The integrated petrochemical complex is set to significantly contribute to Vietnam’s industrial development as petrochemicals are a building block for numerous industries – from packaging, electrical appliances, medical devices, agriculture, construction, automotive, and many others. The multiplier effect of this industry is known to be high as its development is likely to spawn downstream and support industries.
In addition, LSP plays a vital role in local employment. The complex is operated by around 1,000 well-trained employees, with approximately 80% are Vietnamese. Furthermore, about 800 additional workers will be recruited through its long-term vendors, with around half of these positions going to residents from Long Son Commune. This commitment highlights LSP’s significant contribution to local job creation and community development.
